The Taraka WTP is supplied its source water from 7 Boreholes at approximately 30 ML/day. Pacific Technologies NZ Ltd has supplied the Caprari electric mixed flow submersible pumps coupled with asynchronous submersible motors at 2.900 and 1.450 rpm.
Tried and tested machines whose ideal use is for lifting medium flows and medium heads. Thousands of these Caprari pumps are installed in wells all over the world with unanimous satisfaction of the users. Sturdy construction of cast iron or bronze with impellers keyed onto the stainless-steel shaft. Their design makes them especially suited for lifting water containing sand.
Training and commissioning are supplied to water PNG to ensure longevity and performance of this critical infrastructure, to PNG’s second largest city.
After treatment, Pacific Technologies also supplies the pumping power via its partner Caprari to distribute the treated water via its low-pressure pipe (DN700) and its high-pressure pipeline (DN500).
To maintain a proper water balance, Pacific Technologies has also supplied two KROHNE Clamp On time of flight ultrasonic flowmeters. Installed and commissioned by Pacific Technologies at the plant.
